It’s done!!!!

After 2 hectic months and my love being crazy busy ,our dining room table is done! I love all things diy but I am terrified of power tools (yes I know I’m ridiculous.) so after searching for the perfect table I came across the plans on Shanty 2 Chic and ana whites websites. It can seat 12 and it’s the table I hope my kids will make memories at, aside being gorgeous, sturdy and massive it was affordable! The entire set (table and 2 benches) was $230 in materials. You cannot find a deal like that! So I am proud to present my husbands hard work ..let me know what you think!

Starting homeschool!

We had a major milestone on Tuesday. Our 4 year old started kindergarten. We are homeschooling so I’m super lucky in the way that I get to witness her growth every step of the way. I am so proud and amazed at how well she’s taken to the change and new challenges, she is my little genius and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.

Lifestyle vs. posed

So let me just say I do not consider myself a professional photographer. I do love taking photos and I am passionate about getting pictures that “speak” to me. Being the only person in my family that knows how to use a camera leads to a lot of “suggestions” and guidance. I quickly started to lose the love I had for photos because I was constantly being told which pose, outfit or expression I should be capturing. I was constantly second guessing what I was doing. I knew my photos where not what everyone gets from professional photographers.that is when I started poking around on the Internet. I discovered my “style” or genre if you will. This beautiful thing call lifestyle photography, I quickly found that it was ok that I didn’t want to use all the props, that a simple photo can be beautiful and you don’t need to make excuses for it. That day my love for photography was reignited. As I said I am not a professional but I do know that I have photos of my loves that I will cherish forever…even without the props 😉 what style do you prefer to shoot? imageimageimageimageimage
